I don't know. This is a hard question. I think over time relationships flourish or dissipate and that could all depend on so many factors. I like to be open minded to everyone and see what happens.
I don't mind at all if her interests, hobbies or passions don't align 100% with my own. I would happily try something new and so having less commonalities could be a way to broaden my experiences.*
That being said, if her values are absolutely in the wrong direction to my own, then there might be some problems!
My son is everything to me and so they would need to be ok with being second to him!
