I have have three adult sons living their best lives elsewhere with 6 children between them. I’m now retired and loving it. I was a nursing sister, then a teacher as well as a foster carer of babies.
I enjoy meeting people, muddy walks, dining out in heels occasionally, pubs with log fires, being outdoors in any weather, laughing until it hurts, walking my dog, spontaneity, fresh coffee, candlelight, picnics, forests, fresh snow, decent wine, good conversation, art & playing with paint. I volunteer in Cambridge city centre at night and Addenbrookes hospital to stave off the inevitable loneliness and boredom of living alone.
I frequently get to enjoy visiting old friends & family in London (where I lived before moving to Flatland) and the all over the SE - often on the train.
I don’t really care for talking about the weather over endless cups of tea, really poor dress sense, bad teeth, bushy beards containing yesterday’s breakfast or socks with sandals.
I’m not attracted to unkindness, bad manners or profile pictures with giant fish.
